San Antonio’s,, Alamo Mission

Without any doubt, Alamo is one of the most popular place in southern US with history buffs, and the main advantage is, it’s free of charge. It was initially known as Mission San Antonio de Valero.

In general the Alamo stone was a church which has been converted or modified into a little neat museum where we can learn about the history of Alamo. We can also find many interesting artifacts on display say Bowie knifes and flintlocks.

It has a compound comprises of many buildings around and a sanctuary. This was been built by the Spanish Empire in the 18th centuary for the education of local Native Americans after their conversion to Christianity. The Spanish officials previously have secularized San Antonio’s 5 missions and they distributed their lands to the remaining Indian residents.Farming the field is done by both men and women. That is something about the mission where we can easily spend more than 3 hours.
